Mànran are a dynamic band from the Scottish Highlands with their own exciting blend of traditional music. Their debut CD is a powerful combination of Gaelic/English songs underpinned by driving accordion, Highland and Uilleann pipes, fiddle, flute and a backline of drum and bass. Manran are: Norrie MacIver (vocals guitar); Gary Innes (accordion, keyboards); Ewan Henderson (fiddle, highland pipes, whistle, vocals); Calum Stewart (uillean pipes, wooden flute); Ross Sauders (bass guitar, vocals); Scott Mackay (drums, percussion. Manran welcomed the New Year as the live house band for the BBC ALBA TV Hogmanay show in 2010, and in 2011 have performed as part of Celtic Connections at the O2 ABC, the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall supporting Kepa Junkera and for the Scottish First Minister and over 150 Food Delegates from all around the World, at a special performance at Edinburgh Castle.
