What a fabulous concert these four talented musicians gave last Friday evening – absolutely wonderful! McKenna’s wonderful voice plus their very musical interpretations of not only their own work but a few basic session songs gave notice to all in attendance that this was not an ordinary Scottish band. What a treat. Inspired. Fabulous tunes, fiddle & flute with wonderful counter-melodies and interesting phrases combined with inspired drumming and solid guitar/bouzouki work — it doesn’t get much better than this! Can’t wait to see what the future brings for this band.

Hi Dave, one more thing :-) Did you take any photos? We’re still getting to grips with this site and I suppose I want to know if it’s obvious you can add photos.

Simon, I did not – I’ll ask around, though, as someone may have. I do not see an easy way to post photos right here in this part of the website though. Looks like just comments, perhaps?

Can you see the wee camera, film, attachment images at the bottom left of the comments box? (here’s a picture https://skitch.com/simonthoumire/88gyj/scottish-culture-online-events-paul-mckenna-band-the-focal-point-maplewood-mo-home). You click on one of them to upload. if you can’t see them please tell me :-)

Simon, no, I cannot see those camera + film attachment images at the bottome left, although I am logged in – plus the site seems slightly hard to navigate, too. For instance, I put in ”McKenna Focal Point” as a search term and the search told me this thread had ZERO comments and reactions, however when I clicked on it, here was our discussion!

Thanks Dave. One final question. What browser are you using? We need to get his working correctly. If it’s internet explorer which version?

Simon, no problem. I was using Chrome. However, this time I logged in via Outlook Explorer 9. I am using Windows 7, 64 bit if that helps, on an Intel i7 Core machine. Let me know if I may be of further help (gotta run to my day job now).

Oh, btw, did not see the camera + film attachments or any other way to add anything except these comments!

Well, words escape me as to how well you all played. Except it looks like I used the word ”wonderful” a little too much — but it truly was! Come back and see us again sometime!
