I’m very please to announce that Innes Watson, John Somerville and Ali Hutton from Scotland’s most famous trad big band The Treacherous Orchestra will be leading Treacherous Week @ Ceol Mor this summer. They’ll be working with MD Stephen Deazley on TO material, bringing the TO approach to arrangements and generally bringing out the best in our young musicians.
The week takes place from 31 July to 8 August. Plans are shaping up to finish the week with two performances with the Feis Rois Ceilidh Trailers at the Fringe.
Applications for Ceol Mor (for musicians aged 16-25, grade 5-ish standard minimum, some reading ability an advantage) will be on the AIYF site soon ,but to book your place early please e-mail your details to info@aiyf.org If you’re not in the age range please pass on the info to any young musicians you know.
