The sixth National Treasure concert boasts yet another fantastic lineup of traditional music talent. A massively adventurous young band directly inspired by Gordon’s music, The Treacherous Orchestra are one of the most thrilling groups to emerge from Scotland in many years.
As always, we have an exceptionally strong piping presence with Gordon’s friend and fellow piping pioneer Fred Morrison, iconic Irish piper Paddy Keenan of Bothy Band fame and a great favourite of Gordon’s alongside the innovative Lothian And Borders Police Pipe Band. Piper and saxophonist Fraser Fifield has put together a special collaboration for us with the incredible Irish sean-nos singer and the voice of Afro Celt Sound System, Iarla O’Lionaird.
The self-penned songs of Gordon Duncan Jr and BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician 2012, Oban fiddler Rona Wilkie complete a great night of music.
